HAMILTON, ON – July 15, 2021 – Starting July 13, Hamilton Public Library (HPL) and Burlington Public Library (BPL) cardholders double their borrowing power.

Hamilton Public Library Donation Puts Collection on World Stage

HAMILTON, ON – May 26, 2021 – Hamilton Public Library has found a world stage for nearly 1,000 books it previously held about 18th and 19th Century theatre. The recent donation to the Internet Archive gives readers all around the world online access to the soon-to-be digitized collection.

Call for Entries: Hamilton Public Library Valley Park Branch Mural

HAMILTON, ON – May 20, 2021 – HPL Seeks Artists and Juror for Exterior Art Project at New Branch

WHAT:

Hamilton Public Library invites artists to submit proposals for a large (14.62m W x 4.27m H) mural to grace an exterior wall of the new Valley Park Library, 970 Paramount Dr.

Residents in the area are also invited to participate in the selection process. One community representative will be chosen as a juror.

Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre starts library with help from HPL

HAMILTON, ON – May 13, 2021 – Hamilton Public Library is helping set up a library at the Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre with a donation of more than 4,500 new paperback books.

The books, which are a mix of fiction and non-fiction titles, will begin filling the shelves at the newly established library over the next month.

HPL Helps – Library Staff Lend Hands at Vaccine Clinics

HAMILTON, ON – March 9, 2021 – Over the next few months, 47 HPL Staff are supporting Hamilton Public Health’s vaccination clinics, beginning the week of March 15. This is in addition to the 20 HPL Staff already assisting Public Health in various capacities since January.
