More eReading with Your Hamilton Public Library Card
HAMILTON, ON – Monday April 27, 2020 – With a Hamilton Public Library card, you now have access to three times as many eBooks and eAudiobooks — 211,400 digital titles, to be exact.
HPL, Burlington Public Library and Mississauga Library are now sharing their e-collections, which means a greater selection of eReads and quicker access to them for customers in each community.
“Building partnerships that improve access and services for customers is at the heart of all we do at Hamilton Public Library,” said HPL’s Director of Collections and Program Development, Lisa Radha Weaver. “When we say we’re #InThisTogether, we really mean it.”
HPL customers are borrowing more and more eBooks and eAudiobooks, due to isolation. For example, within a few days of announcing our Hamilton Reads 2020 title — Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice — more than 500 e-copies were checked out.
Customer borrowing parameters are set by each partner library. There’s step-by-step information about how to access the digital catalogues in Hamilton, Burlington and Mississauga at hpl.ca.
