Newcomer Learning Centre Request for English Tutoring

The Newcomer Learning Centre’s Tutoring Program provides English Language Learning one-on-one with a volunteer tutor, twice per week. In-person tutoring is conducted at one of our 23 Hamilton Public Library branches. Online tutoring is conducted through video/audio chat. Hybrid tutoring is both in-person and online.

 

Tutoring Preferrence
Requirements
  • Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 3 in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
  • Intermediate computer skills and reliable access to technology (for Online Tutoring)
  • Newcomer Learning Centre Staff will contact you directly for proof of language benchmarks.
  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Protected Person to participate.
